• Biomedical engineering is a multidisciplinary field which seeks to close the gap between engineering and medicine: It combines professional engineering knowledge (electronics and information technology) with medical and biological sciences to improve healthcare diagnosis, monitoring and therapy. This specialty creates fundamental concepts and knowledge for the following activities:

    • Organizing and carrying out research diagnoses, treatment procedures (including rehabilitation and recovery);

    • Medical Technology Management;

    • Development, production, maintenance, control and diagnostics of modern biomedical technology;

    • Development and implementing new medical technologies with the use of technical computerized means;

    • Development, implementing and maintaining professionally oriented information systems;

    • Telemedicine, telecommunication, digital communications and information networks;

    • Development, implementing and maintaining information systems oriented professional.
