• Saturday, 14 may 2016, a large event in the Public Garden „Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt” from Chișinău took place, dedicated to Europe Day, with activities for all ages, from puppet theater, languages schools, competitions, to concerts and open-air disco.


    Together with the National Office Erasmus+ in Moldova, representatives of International Cooperation Department of Technical University of Moldova promoted European values through DEurpoean projects focused on education: Mrs. prorector  Larisa BUGAIAN presented the project Erasmus+ PBLMD, Prof. Victor ŞONTEA – The project TEMPUS IV BME-ENA,( http://bme.me.fcim.utm.md/) prorector Valentin AMARIEI – the project Erasmus+ TEACH-ME.


    BME-ENA project aims (Education in Biomedical Engineering in Eastern Partnership countries) are to promote professional training in biomedical engineering in the Eastern Partnership countries (Moldova, Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia) by setting up/modernization of university study programs; establishment of laboratories in biomedical engineering; developing educational materials and implement a system of quality assurance and assessment; educational capacity building through the mobility of teachers and students.


    PBLMD (Introducing problem-based learning in Moldova: To strengthen the competitiveness and employability of students) it is a national project, capacity building, which aims to improve the quality of teaching methodologies and learning and higher education programs in MoldovaThe project also has the mobility  component of bachelor students and teachers from Moldova will visit the EU project partners to study and benefit from training.


    TEACH-ME project specific aims (Networking to promote teaching in continuing professional education in Moldova) are creating and establishing networks of continuing education centers participating higher education institustions in Moldova; development, testing and implementation of 2 new courses/modules of learning (innovative pedagogical approaches and electronic platform for teachers, redesign existing models of continuing education (adaptation approaches co-education), testing and implementation.


    Events will continue until the day May 20 with Cultural Festival Committee, where the public will have the opportunity to attend a series of artistic activities designed to provide an overview of European cultural diversity and the motto of the European Union “Unity through Diversity” as underlined by the EU representative in Moldova, Pirkka Tapiola, in his opening speech.
